Axiom Consulting Partners is seeking experienced professionals to join our team in the role of Manager for Talent & Organizational Effectiveness. Our Managers partner with senior leaders across a broad and varied client base, including Fortune 100 companies, to solve complex business, talent and organizational challenges. The Manager is instrumental in crafting pragmatic, compelling and business-based solutions that leverage people analytics, science, and leading practices to produce sustained business results. A Manager works with colleagues and clients to shape the work and manage the cadence of engagements, ensures that our teams execute with the highest quality, and develops insights and recommendations that impel clients to action.

Managers play a key role in business development, firm stewardship and the coaching and development of our people. We encourage and reward impact and results, collaboration and the boldness to challenge the status quo for the benefit of our clients and firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creates and manages against a clear project plan, ensuring appropriate project cadence, timeline and resourcing, and surfacing project execution risks as needed
  • Leads and manages the execution of all research, data gathering, and analytics (quantitative and qualitative) as part of Axiom Consulting Partners’ diagnostic approach
  • Develops and tests hypotheses to generate insights and provide actionable business intelligence – leveraging critical thinking capabilities, business acumen, and industry and/or technical expertise
  • Drafts compelling, high-quality written materials that communicate important messages simply and effectively at the senior client level
  • Builds support for our recommendations at all levels of client organization to enable, support and drive needed transformation
  • Builds, maintains and grows professional peer-to-peer relationships with clients
  • Contributes to the development of intellectual property and firm-building initiatives
  • Coaches and develops consulting tradecraft and technical capability in others and takes personal accountability for their own professional growth and development

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 3-5+ years of management consulting/professional services experience in the areas of talent management and / or organization effectiveness, including:

    • Talent management (talent acquisition, selection, leadership development, performance management, career models)
    • People analytics and workforce planning
    • Employee engagement, employee experience and employee value proposition
    • Total rewards (evaluation and philosophy, program design, sales compensation)
    • Organization design / operating model
    • Culture assessment and shaping
    • Change management
    • Restructuring and cost transformation
  • Strong business acumen (e.g., knowledge of business operations, key functional areas, and typical competitive challenges)
  • High proficiency with data analysis using excel, R, python, SPSS and other statistical tools is desirable
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity and precision as evidenced through:

    • Business writing
    • Development of presentation materials
    • Delivery of presentations and communicating in group and one-to-one settings
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in a professional capacity, educational group, or civic organization
  • Collaborative and learning orientation
  • Advanced degree in business, psychology, industrial relations or HR management is preferred
  • Willingness to travel
  • Residence in Chicago or willingness to relocate
  • U.S. citizenship or Green Card required
