Axiom Consulting Partners is seeking high-performing professionals to join our team in the role of Principal. Axiom’s Principals leverage their skills and experience to develop client solutions in areas including strategy assessment and implementation, strategic and operational planning, business process and organizational design, talent management and leadership development.  As a core member of our team, Principals work with colleagues and client personnel at all levels to drive the design and implementation of business transformation and growth initiatives.  The Principal role is primarily focused on applying subject matter and project management expertise to drive client solution development and support business development. Well-honed organizational, analytical and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Partners and other Axiom Consulting Partners colleagues to scope projects, frame key issues and determine approaches for solving client issues
  • Applies subject matter expertise to participate or lead solution development including data gathering and analyses methodologies, the identification of findings, development of messages and creation of tools, frameworks, and materials for client communications
  • Guides, and in some cases builds, quantitative and qualitative analyses to generate new insights that inform or support solutions and recommendations
  • Crafts and delivers compelling storylines from insights developed through data gathering and analysis
  • Develops and manages detailed project plans for large client engagements that ensure delivery of high impact recommendations and solutions
  •  Manages and helps develop consultants to build Axiom Consulting Partners’ intellectual capital
  • Builds upon client experience to contribute to Axiom Consulting Partners’ intellectual property
  • Identifies and scopes new opportunities with existing clients and leads or supports the development of new proposals

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 7-10+ years of management consulting experience advising senior level clients, with demonstrated relevant subject matter expertise in strategy, innovation, growth and/or organization transformation
  • An MBA or alternate post-graduate education (i.e., business, psychology or engineering)
  • Strong business acumen (e.g., knowledge of business operations, financial analysis, organization effectiveness)
  • Ability to lead issue diagnosis, solution development and nuanced executive-level communication for large complex projects
  • Experience managing teams of other professionals to deliver high-quality work to senior executives
  • Above average capabilities in structuring quantitative and qualitative approaches to ensure effective problem solving
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity and precision as evidenced through business writing; development of presentation materials; delivery of presentations and communicating in group and one-to-one settings
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in a professional capacity, educational group, or civic organization
  • Collaborative and learning orientation
  • Demonstrated relationship development/ business development skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • U.S. citizenship or a Green Card
