Prior to joining Axiom Consulting Partners, Jay worked as a commercial insurance broker and underwriter at Burns & Wilcox in Chicago and Los Angeles. While at Burns & Wilcox, Jay exercised binding authority with multiple contracts to broker and underwrite commercial insurance policies specializing in casualty, professional and property policies. Jay also designed and marketed a proprietary Midwest region property contract written through Lloyd’s of London. Jay enjoys analyzing the wide range of unique challenges that each business experiences, no matter the industry sector or size.
Jay has experience managing cross-functional teams, leading training and development initiatives and excels in building meaningful relationships with clients based on consistent and impactful performance.
Jay worked as an ESL teacher for Aston English Schools in Xiangyang, China prior to his business career, and served as a Board Fellow on the Tindley Accelerated School board in Indianapolis.
Jay earned his MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with a concentration in Finance and a Bachelors of Science degree in financial economics from Centre College. The 2016-2017 Kelley School of Business MBA Association class president, Jay was also featured in Poets & Quants’ “2017 Best MBAs: Best and Brightest” annual publication.
