Lei Tong is a highly analytical and quantitative business strategist who finds innovative ways to integrate his background in technology, design, innovation, statistics, and optimization to help leaders solve challenges around growth. Lei possesses significant experience and skill in data analytics, visualization, and the development of interactive models to help organizations understand the design constraints of new business models, trade-offs between strategic decisions and across various scenarios.
Prior to joining Axiom, Lei spent seven years in management consulting with Houlihan Lokey Strategic Consulting (formerly Bridge Strategy Group) and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. His consulting engagements span a variety of different industries with a focus on high tech, industrials, automotive, aerospace and energy. At Houlihan Lokey Strategic Consulting, he managed the delivery and implementation of several growth projects around corporate development, services strategy, sales channel improvement and electric vehicle smart-grid integration. At Roland Berger, Lei worked with numerous clients across North America and Europe on a wide variety of strategic issues, with a focus on corporate development and restructuring. Prior to management consulting, Lei served as a systems engineer and lead designer with Honeywell Aerospace. He is recognized on seven patents worldwide for inventions used in military and commercial aviation.
Lei earned his MBA from the University of Cambridge, Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
