Axiom Consulting Partners is delighted to announce that Managing Partner David C. Kuhlman has joined the Governing Board of The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists.

For over 30 years, Dave has worked with people-intensive/asset-light businesses including accounting and law firms to establish and realize transformative strategies.

“Dave Kuhlman’s leadership depth and advisory experience will help keep us focused on our mission of turning back the Doomsday Clock,” said John Balkcom, chair of the Bulletin‘s  Governing Board. “He has deep knowledge of organizational structure and processes, and he is an accomplished problem-solver. His presence on the board will be an enormous asset as we continue to grow the organization and its impact on mitigating the existential risks of nuclear proliferation, climate change, and disruptive technologies.”

“I am excited to work alongside John and the rest of the board in helping the Bulletin fulfill its mission,” said Kuhlman. “The Bulletin is fiercely important in standing for rational, fact-based assessment of threats to our collective future.”

The Bulletin‘s Governing Board is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organization; ensuring the organization operates in a legal, ethical and professional manner; participating in Doomsday Clock discussions; representing the organization at public events; and assisting in raising funds for the Bulletin’s continued operation and fiscal stability.

The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists believes that advances in science and technology should make life on earth better, not worse. They equip the public, policy makers, and scientists with the information needed to demand, recognize, and support public policies that reduce man-made existential threats such as nuclear war, climate change, and disruptive technologies. Their award-winning journal, iconic Doomsday Clock, open-access website, and timely events promote evidence-based policy debates essential to healthy democracies and a safe and livable planet.
